I don't think there's a definitive answer, just what you prefer. Theoretically flywheel machines better suited to dry maize and wholecrop but they seem well able to put grass through too, maybe bit higher chance of chute blockages though

Was just thinking that. What I was actually thinking is that cylinder foragers are THE ONLY way to chop grass. Everything else makes rubbish silage and if you have a flywheel forager you are a big Jessie.
