As above. Got a 18'' storage main running from a drain chamber to a outlet pump chamber which has become silted up. Had a few goes with a vaccy tanker to loosen and remove the silt but only had limited success.

The glazed pipe is probably too large to take a normal drain better to do the job, anyone know of a tanker based jetter which can pull itself though the pipe whilst clearing the blockage in the locality?

Any advice/contacts from the resident land drainage experts would be great fully received!

  2. There's a guy from Wem (?) IIRC that has one.
Don't have his number, but he was recommended to me by A R Richards http://arrichards.co.uk/contact-us/
    Maybe give them a call?

  3. Hi,
How long is the section of drain you need to clear? We supply drain jetting equipment with special turbo jetting nozzles which will work on a 18" drain.

Thanks for the reply. Pipe is about 30 metres long. Hopefully got the job sorted, someone coming out next week. Finding someone with the right better and ability to travel off road has been a chore. Most of spoken to every drain jetter company in the North West!

  6. Probably not blocked all the way, can't you just dig a bit up and see?

Derek Lloyd has one if you can get him to fit you in.
I'll dig his number out when back at home

Pipes in deep! On peat ground it would collapse in and be a major job just to have a look. Was a Rolls Royce job when put in under the grant scheme, wish we still had them! Just needs a good clear out. All industrial spec jetters are mounted on lorries which have access issues.

Thanks, he's been consulted and his jetter isn't suitable. Fine for the normal drains just not a storage main. At least with his uni mog setup access wouldn't be an issue.

  10. The machines we sell are tractor mounted running from the PTO.

What is a "storage main" ? Not a term I have come across before. Be good to see some pictures of the setup that comes to do the job :)

Will put some photos up when we do the job, hopefully will make more sense than my random discriptions.

Did you find someone after? I know Paul Eccleston has got one but don't have his number. If you give John Mottram at W&M Agri engineers a ring he will have his number.
