Drainage help

I am after a man with a mini digger that can fix some old suff drains and figure out just how some ground I have is so bloody wet.

We have had the ground for years but over the last 5-7 it's got beyond a joke, rush everywhere, grass doing no good and it has to stop! We have cleaned the ditches and put in some pipe here and there but I need somebody who really knows what they are doing as I am a fair bit out of my depth here with this one.

Please can somebody help me with this?

We use Popes of Hightown for all our drainage work, they're a bit far from you but could point you in the direction of someone more local, although they have just been on a big job in France

I will give them a ring later today.

My only worry is that getting a big tracked machine in will be over kill as where it is wet is only in spots. The water has places to go it just needs somebody to look at it and say 'yes, that's where it should be going and here is the reason why it's not flowing into those ditches' ect..

If anybody can help in that respect that would be a massive help

Getting a trencher would be overkill but they have various excavators including a small hitachi. They know their stuff and will be able to help you one way or another, good crowd

Depending on what drains you have it is sometimes just s easy to pop some new flexi in and pick up everything you find rather than farting on trying to unblock .
Stone drains are almost better dug out and replaced.

I had someone come in to do some work for me last year on the unblocking side of things, he has since retired and doesn't want to do anymore but what he did seems to have worked very well. If I could and had the money to redo most I will be doing, I just need to stop the water flowing over the surface of the ground and saturating these areas and going where it should be.
