Yer we would normally do that, but the ditch was almost dry. When we operate on the laterals away from ditch we draw the water from a 2000ltr front tank on an old fendt tool carrier.

This is our jetter & some deep drainage & a evening sky to dye for.

why soo deep? Todd Hoffman found gold or something?
This is the " can you just will your here" job. We are piping part of a ditch with 450 twin wall and going from A to B not round c d e and f. First job was 450 twin wall at 6ft deep in running sand. This is 10 ft deep and dry as a bone with plenty of clay.

You'd be hard pressed to beat a mastenbroek jetter. Not the most user friendly but 120 litres per minute at 70 bar takes some beating!

Got an electro dip jetter here for dipping/jetting sheep. Would the engine be any good for jetting 80mm land drains?
Had a fitting made to attach it to 25 mm alkathene to blow out a 32mm water pipe and done a good job but always wondered if it was worth trying with a bigger pipe to jet land drains. I'd guess it wouldn't really have the water flow required but would it be worth giving a go or total waste of time?

This old ditch is blocked which is causing water to back up and spilling into the field during heavy rain. Ditch is full of trees its been blocked for so long, am I alright just to get in here with hedge cutter and 13 tonne 360? About 30 metres away is a brook the environment agency have cleared.

I'd be thinking, what's the worst they could do? Take you to court and request damages or make you reinstate?

Up here in Scotland, I'd be calling the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) to get the landowner to do it at his own expense. Maybe the EA down your way?

Under Common Law a lower owner must not cause water to back up.

Can't be right, round here I have never seen the environment agency clear anything out...........
Don't think they know what a 360 is, all they do is ride round in white or silver trucks......

As the landowner you have riparian rights which actually say you must maintain watercourses on your property.
There are a few exceptions, mainly EA water courses or IDB ones.
Yours however is neither of these thus you should maintain it therefore, no issue at all in pulling out the trees which are in the bottom of the ditch impeding flow.
