A simple solar powered battery backed PIR device that phones my mobile if there somebody in my yard/shed at night and also triggers an alarm/security light.
Might already exist but they probably aren’t rugged enough for ag, or need batteries replacing which I can’t be doing with.

An engine radiator pressure monitor than can detect loss of pressure after initial build up and so warns of a leak.

An electric motor rapid trip device that detects sudden over current and trips the motor rapidly preventing belt burn out in the event of an auger or conveyor jam. Thermal trips in starters are too slow. The device needs an over ride for start up and possibly a tripped indication and manual reset. Again the component parts are available but nobody has built them into an easily retrofittable kit/module the could be fitted to a switchboard and simply wired in.

These are really good! An electric motor rapid trip device would be a great project and I do have experience with electric motors!

I'd imagine most VSDs would have a feature like this built in.

What size motors are you talking? Wouldn't be very difficult to do what you're asking with a CSR. PM if you like

I'd like a phone app that, when a phone call comes from an unknown number, the app essentially Google's the number, and gives me a percentage chance of it being a telesales call etc.

Currently I just wait until they stop ringing then do that anyway, a real time version would be handy.
If the number ain’t in my phone list it doesn’t get snswered, if they want me they can leave a message and I’ll get back to them.
Not many leave a message, the majority of which are genuine calls, don’t get many spam messages

A device that doesn't let you tip/extend the auger/tele-handler under or in the proximity of Power Lines. Amazes me with all the "whit of man" An auto shut or a confirmation of "Safe too" has not been implemented ( see the wrecker thread, ps hope the lad is ok? )

Either integrated in the the GPS, with power lines mapped for the whole country supplied by then national Grid ( or alike ) OR a sensor that detects voltage, like the device you put on the wall before drilling a hole in it.

PS please do not consider the laser, the power required would be akin the Sun!

Here you go:
The problem is not the growing of them it is the picking. Pev Manners at Belvoir was quoted in local paper just last week saying he has not been able to produce as much as he could sell because the elderflower intake was down due to lack of pickers (basically not enough folks are now willing to wander the lanes picking elderflowers for a pittance, to supplement the plantations). I don't think there is a mechanised harvester even for the plantations at Belvoir yet? Nice project for someone, trying to adapt a picker from some other crop, the difficulty is most pick fruit which is easier to strip out than flowers (hops are flowers, but hang down from the bine so can be beaten off by fingers on the picking machine like a feather plucker).

I’m liking the idea of a laser, my dream product for making life easier would be a laser to zap all those who come up with rules and regulations 😋
If it would double up to zap flys in the milking parlour to stop cows kicking it would be a bonus 👍
I might settle for zapping the cows 😜
Or how about if all the people sayin we need to reduce world population jumped of a big cliff which would reduce world population and get us rid of havin to listen to them, obviously so they dont feel left out the vegans, animal rights activists, climate change activists like gretta and corrupt politions could also jump of after them 🤣

I’m cool with that...............provided they take the petty rule makers with them 👍
