Has anyone fitted a pressure sensor on their air drill ?

It appears the pto has been left off on 2 small occasions.

I had a play with a gauge on my air drill, for different reasons to what you want to do though.
The trouble is air drill’s work using air flow to blow the seed through tather than pressure.
And as pressure is a measure of “restriction to flow” the last thing you want in the system is and restriction.
I’m guessing there may be some pressure between the fan and the Venturi, I didn’t try measuring it there, but chances are it would still be minimal.
I couldn’t even get any reading on a gauge that will read less than half a psi.

Be better off with something that senses the fan shaft rotating
Something cheap and cheerful, and (almost) off the shelf like this proximity sensor based tacho kit, for the grand total of a cup of coffee from Starbucks!

(You might have to wait a little while for it)

It’s amazing the difference. You can order from China or so, and the whole cost is cheaper than just the domestic postage cost!
I know, sometime I think the Chinese sell to cheap! You look at something and think, “that’s not going to be much good for £2”. If they charged a bit more you’d think “that’s reasonable” I’m getting a quality bit of kit:ROFLMAO:

Tractor has a flashing light and a pto speed. Also I never close the rear window completely.

But I still didn't realise un till I'd drilled a couple of shots.

Old vicon drill had a pressure or flow sensor and would whistle if you forgot pto.

And old tractor didn't switch off pto if you got off the seat [emoji35]

Them seat pto sensors are sh1t . The number of times I’ve been court out When spraying . back into corner set of to find the pto not going. Re back into corner ( trailed sprayer ) so not much fun. If that tractor was on the drill the seat sencor would have to be wired out.

Just wait till you use a front hopper with hydraulic driven fan.

It's usually like this, up half the night calving a cow, eventually get everything done, sow a bit, stop for lunch, then it goes to sh!t, back to tractor, fire up, line up a run, Pto on, drop drill, drop front hopper, drop marker, marvel at how the tractor seems to have two gained 15-20hp going up the hill, turn at the top, return and then the penny drops, Spool not enaged, no fert blowing past the cab!! :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Cue swearing!!

Really need some sort of buzzer based on fan shaft rotation that operates when the PTO on back is engaged in my case.
