i use these, might be a few more in it than you want but i find them a good drill, id drill a lot of holes and the first box is still 3/4 full and i must have it 10 yrs, of course a lot have been sharpened over time but i bought another set of them 6 mths ago so i must like them.
i cant remember the price of them, iirc it was €140 or a bit less on sale.
155 drills tho.

actually, here they are on the bay, it might be more than you want to spend so not to worry.

of course their longevity depends a lot on how you treat them, as Eric says, a bit of cutting lube goes a long way.
buy yourself a tin of this stuff, you wont look back.

bought a set of 1 to 10mm Milwaukee bits a while ago when they were on offer, they are fairly good. not exceptional but good enough. Wurth ones I bought in the past were made of chocolate useless things, how ever the rep sold me the crap ones not the decent ones a they do at least 2 ranges but he failed to tell me that:banghead:

iirc they do them ones i linked to and way more expensive ones, cobalt or tain or something fancy.
i know they are a wild price for the set.
i wouldnt say they are anything special but they have served me well in fairness to them but your not the first ive heard say they thought them soft.
i have ruko here as well and they would both be similar.
i have a dedicated drill sharpener here that i tried a new wurth drill in and the angles were damn near correct on it.
they can vary a lot on cheaper drills.
i found them a good all rounder and the quantities and .5mm steps are useful.

Another vote for wurth. Doing the floor on my low loader I went through 3 drill bits on the first 2 boards. Went and got a wurth drill bit, 290 holes later it was still flying it, and it was tough drilling.

good to hear.
they arent a soft drill, ive bored a right bit of stainless with them too, they dont like it obviously but they dont refuse either.

when doing metalwork as a side business i always spent the money on cobalt bits, and i joked with a colleague the other day, having half mill increments means when you do blunt a bit you've got one fairly close.... :D

Have the Milwaukee set, good enough but the dewalt extreme ones with the pilot tip are better.
umm, im not so convinced on the dewalt's, wait til you have to sharpen him........

@Rob_AD
apologies about the delay in replying rob, ive been in bed for the last few days with a bad case of tonsillitis.
yes, they should be the same ones only in a smaller set, mine are the same spec 338's.
that set is plenty for most.

I had a few 12mm holes to bore through inch thick steel and I paid extra for cobalt bits to see what all the fuss was about.

Unbelievable drilling. I couldn't believe how easy it was and they maintained their sharpness.

The time and money I wasted over the years sweating and killing myself just to bore a few holes when a decent cobalt bit would have saved the day.
