Drilling anyone?

I managed to get 35 acres of Orwell winter barley in today . Went ok but I'm not happy with how tight the soil is behind the drills wheels , Weaving Sabre tine , with only half a ton of seed at a time . Another 35 to go then 130 of wheat .
Then decide how much of the osr to write off .

Lol. Your heavy stuff is lighter than my light stuff. You can keep your rainfall totals though ;)
Got plenty of this

Today planned to drill an easily achievable 30acres of WB but 2 grain lorries, some calibration issues and some hospital visiting ruined that plan.

I am getting pretty pee'd off with seeing these pictures of it all going lovely.??

Even saw a picture of someone rolling yesterday.
Gets nearly dry enough then rains here plus blowing a hooley so can't get any spray on before or after drilling

I started ploughing again this morning and it's still turning over nice despite the rain we keep getting. After lunch I got my mate on the plough and I drilled behind.
The wind was helping the ground haze off a treat.View attachment 837702View attachment 837703
How much have you got left to do? Very envious of you being able to get on but its all swings and roundabouts I guess.
