Ploughed last 20 acres to get drier soil. Wet spot walked well so started drilling. Wet spot drained under ploughing 25 yards downhill. Drill found it.

After a tow rest of field went well but there's a wet hole to sort after harvest.

Finished barley today so all done.pretty wet in places and close to getting stuck a few times.easier working soil but very wet and 9 inches of topsoil then straight onto brick clay.left a few places and headlands which I’ll pull a cultivator through and then leave it.

Should finish a 47 acre field + another 16 today, of barley, still got over 80 acres of barley to drill but not drilling any more after today will leave it to spring!
That leaves 130 acres of wheat to do, we have up until January so fingers crossed we may get a bit more in.
Have been drilling on and off since the last week of September and we have drilled a total of around 220acres that’s less than 60acres a week which is what we can normally do in a day!
