Drilling anyone?

We started drilling end of September (Notill) and got 2 1/2 fields done when it rained do we stopped for a 'couple' of days.
After a week or so I had a premonition and got local contractors to plough and combi. As we had been Notill for a while the land came up well although too slick on top to Notill and we finished ten days ago
That was the easy part, now the long wait to see
1. If it comes up
2. If the slugs leave it alone
3. If we don't get much heave
4. If we can keep on top of the deer and bunnies.
Only consolation is that if pikies go on it they'll only get ten yards.
A farmers life is a simple one?

Pretty much sums up our situation!

Is that just you though rog ?
:ROFLMAO:

I would say that seems about right. Don’t know how good some will be? Of course, it looks a lot less at the moment as a vast area goes into spring crops in this region anyway
:ROFLMAO: 100% here. Nationally 80% . Green covers are in mostly but still Maize to combine , though usually done on the frost in January.
This is the worst Autumn here in 16 years on my place.
