Drilling hybrid OSR with Vad rapid 300s

Hi, does anyone direct drill hybrid OSR with a vaderstad rapid 300s or similar gravity fed box drill. I was wondering how people manage the very low seed rate (2-3kg/ha). I have tried calibrating with 190 rotations not 19 to give a more measurable quantity, but the seed seems to run slower and more sporadically as the hopper empties eventhough there is more than a Ha of seed remaining. Any tips? is it even possible to do a good job with hybrid OSR using this drill? Thanks

Drill rape with my Vaddy Rapid box drill at 50 seeds per m2 and find calibration and accuracy of seed rate very good. Never had any problems but drilling into either plough & pressed ground or after Sumo Trio

Only problems are amount of seed needed to “prime” the the drill and seed running out on the two ends. Hopper level sensor of no use with rape seed

I can get mine down quite comfortably, but I've started blocking every other coulter. It's a PIA when the drill's nearly empty mind.
