We didn't sow a grain in the autumn , so although the crop wasn't profitable it was better than buying in .

My business changed after that year .

On last years performance I really shouldn't They were a disaster and the blame was laid at a cold damp seed bed, although I thought they had gone in well they just never germinated right. I hate the bloody things but having lost taties I need another spring crop and I prefer a non cereal one. Seed doesn't dome till next week and if it feels right they will go in, hopefully this weather will hold a while longer.

2016 we were all sown up by Easter then it p!ssed it down for 2 weeks and i had to redrill most of it. So you roll the dice and have a go.

2018 drilled mid April - disaster! Hot June weather aborted half the flowers then running out of water in July halved yield again

I have had decent results with spring grown Mascani. Although I think I misjudged the PGR a bit.

the days are lengthening,the rape is growing, the hens are laying, the wild birds think it’s spring

so this is the ideal time to drill spring cereals

I like this idea. Maybe it will stop the hare coursing mob over the winter.

Now that is a bloody good idea. Hare will be near invisible in that.

Flailed off the over winter stubble's today,wasn't sure if I should have got the combine out, that would have got the neighbours talking ,sprayed my lowland this afternoon for bg for the second time,IF it doesn't rain,hopefully it will drill at the end of the week. That is just beans being beans. Another year April drilled would have been useless.
