I'm doing the same on our GD. I'm putting fert with the seed and think plants will benefit from the higher concentration in wider rows.

Im going to but i struggle to do 2.5kg/ha on 16 rows with my box drill anyway. I drill with pellets mixed anyway so in a way a concentration of pellets in the row may help more

Don't bother. Drilled ours with all openers used and full grown plants seem to have plenty of room to branch out. Just drilled next years the same way. Are you adding N?

Yes following Dick Neals advise and adding Industrial grade Urea prills and adding berseem clover.

Broadcasting the prills post drilling then? I'd just use the drilling in a standard configuration, plenty of room for each plant. Better use of that tap root as well.

I'm using Agriistart which is N23.5 P31 K10 at 130kgha give 30Kg of N.

I am using the same N rate without shutting coulters off on a 750A. Will be interested to hear if you think the increased concentration of fert helps. Will you be doing any at standard rowspace to compare?
