Drilling w beans with a vaderstad

I’ve got both drills but only used vaddy before .
Does the kv blow beans well enough to outside pipes? I always think it’s struggling on hill sides ? 6m evo?

No problems here with it.

We have drilled winter beans the last 2 years with 6m kv tine drill. The first year we blocked off every other coulter as thought the row spacing would be too close for beans. Fan speed wasn't an issue then as half the pipes were blocked off. Last year we didn't bother blanking any off... and yes the outside 2 coulters on one side got bunged with beans in pipework as fan speed wasn't quite high enough, wasn't helped by a slight sag in the air pipes. Had the fan running flat out on maximum after that, around 5000 i think? No bother after that and sorting the pipes so didnt sag down as much.

How did you rate the vaddy drilled beans do.

Yes they did well tbh but only 20 acres for a neighbour , but we did everything and combined .
It’s just sticking the vaderstad in deep it’s well up the disc and pulls hard, stepping up to 8m this year so it may be a fair drag?
In my mind a tine for beans may give a better environment for the big seed ? Or at least as good with out dragging the weight around?

My first year out with a 6 m vaddy last year. Had a puma 210 as the tug, was told that it would not be man enough to put cereals in and had several folk laugh at me when I told them that after cereals it would be putting beans in and hopefully fairly deep, went a dream, pulled forward speed down from 14 kph down to 11 kph but no problem. Perfect conditions tho
I have the choice of a weaving 6 m tined drill but I feel the vaddy leaves the ground in better condition for the pre ems to work on.
But with 65 mm of rain since Sunday and a stack more due on Sunday the vaddy might not be venturing far this Autumn
