Drone Agrocam NDVI

Has anyone got any experience of using an Agrocam on a drone to look at NDVI?

Looks like a GoPro knockoff and imagine they take the filters out so converting it into NDVI camera.

We have done a test flight captured all the images we need, but haven’t quite worked out how to process the NDVI. We have managed with the camera drone and processed them on drone deploy giving the results below.

The bottom one is RGB

Managed to load up NDVI just need to work out the best way to process them.

Is there anyone else playing around with NDVI on the forum?

I'm not doing any of this but I'm interested on the topic.

Would be nice to know which SW are you using for different tasks. I assume the area is covered with multiple photos, how to combine, scale and set the location correct (the drone GPS cannot be enough)? Which SW do you use to build the rate control file? Any free tools available?

We are using a Mavic Pro 2 and have added an Agrocam, for processing the images above are done on DroneDeploy.

The first set of images aerial map and plant health are done by the drone camera and its internal gps. So the crop health is based on red green blue (RGB) algorithm analysis on drone deploy.

The NDVI picture is from the Agrocam and it’s separate GPS.

Drone deploy is free app that we have used to make a flight plan and stitch all the photos above together. Like all apps you can pay for additional features like NDVI processing etc. We are looking at the best way to get these processe to get a plant health map.

Hey Adam,
I was wondering how everything ended up going with the Agrocams? I have a phantom 4 that I am considering trying it.

Hey Adam, New to the group. Sorry if this is double posting. I am wondering if I could pick your brain alittle bit about your experience using Agrocams. I have a phantom 4 that would be perfect for trying it out on. The only thing is I can't find any reviews. You're actually the first person I've heard of using them. Any information would be awesome. Thank you again

The Agrocams look interesting, I’d never heard of them before, to be honest I currently use the standard Hasselblad camera on the mavic 2 pro and then upload to Solvi for the plant health maps. When I overlay these maps over the top of NDVI images from the Sentinel satellite they’re pretty much bang on and a lot more detailed. Drone use does t really stack up on broad acre crops but I can see benefits to them in veg crops where the ability to do head counts and sizing gives an edge over sat images.
