We are using a Mavic Pro 2 and have added an Agrocam, for processing the images above are done on DroneDeploy.
The first set of images aerial map and plant health are done by the drone camera and its internal gps. So the crop health is based on red green blue (RGB) algorithm analysis on drone deploy.
The NDVI picture is from the Agrocam and it’s separate GPS.
Drone deploy is free app that we have used to make a flight plan and stitch all the photos above together. Like all apps you can pay for additional features like NDVI processing etc. We are looking at the best way to get these processe to get a plant health map.
The Agrocams look interesting, I’d never heard of them before, to be honest I currently use the standard Hasselblad camera on the mavic 2 pro and then upload to Solvi for the plant health maps. When I overlay these maps over the top of NDVI images from the Sentinel satellite they’re pretty much bang on and a lot more detailed. Drone use does t really stack up on broad acre crops but I can see benefits to them in veg crops where the ability to do head counts and sizing gives an edge over sat images.Hey Adam, New to the group. Sorry if this is double posting. I am wondering if I could pick your brain alittle bit about your experience using Agrocams. I have a phantom 4 that would be perfect for trying it out on. The only thing is I can't find any reviews. You're actually the first person I've heard of using them. Any information would be awesome. Thank you again
What crops are you planning on using this on?Interested to invest a dji mavic 2 for estimate biomass with ndvi by agrocam.
Hope there are more reviews and show case on the softwares using.
