Drone help needed

I have an issue when I try to view videos of the drone either via usb cable direct into side of drone or even when I remove the SD card and insert into laptop too view.
The laptop just goes into crash dump mode
Any ideas other than giving the drone to you!

First, try the card in another computer to see whether the laptop is at fault, but it may well be that the card is faulty, so try another one. Any luck?

did you sort the problem?

it sounds like a driver problem for the card reader, depending on which operating system you are using, i could try to help you.

Not there yet got the files onto pc but still not able to open DJI are questioning the ethicasy of the SD Card. Need to go shopping.

which operating system are you using on the pc? windows 10? macbook?

The file you have recorded from the drone, it should have an icon, does the icon have a ? lr does it have an icon for a player such as windows media? quicktime?

Lap top is win 7 Pc is 4mnths old on win 10.
When i get to Pc I will look for Icon I am not familiar with what you are asking. Another learning curve for an Old un.

Today I have managed to see some of the videos via ipad work still to do.

All worked OK when neigbour downloaded onto his Ipad so it must be my old bits aint working right!

yes i believe its a driver problem on your laptop and the right software is not installed to ruun the videos.

I can do that for you and wont take long to do at all. I strongly suspect whats wrong is called a codec, is not installed on your laptop. One of the best free programs that runs a lot of viedos is VLC player which can be downloaded here

run through the installer, and press for normal install, once its installed and ready, here is what you do next.

Find one of the video files you tried to watch, you have two buttons under your trackpad, left and right, press the right button once, on the screen you will get a pop up with a lot of options, one of them will be " open with ", press that option and it will give another pop up with a lot of program options, it looks daunting but jts okay, on the list should be an orange and white traffic cone, press it and then press ok, it will ask if you all files played the same way, press yes and ok.

then wait

then wait a little more

and then your video will start to play.
