the way its looking somewhen in the new yrWho is interested in a sweepstake on what date someone moans about the wet weather once the dry spell is finally over!
Nice bit of rain here this afternoon, got a couple of bags of fert spread, a shame i didbt have anymore to spread, looking at the radar even @Bald Rick got some.
South Cornwall watched the rain blow over with envy, not a drop! I haven't panicked but now I am. What are we going to feed! Start our first cut and then have little in October?
Feeling the same. Had pencilled in 60acres of a 2nd cut for end of the month. Now looking at 40 in the middle of next month at best.Must admit today is the first day I have started to feel a bit sick to the stomach thinking about forage stocks, I have always thought our farm could handle a drought but obviously not with current stocking rates!
Not much rain about for July. Rain 1st wk of aug would produce a silage crop late September, days are mighty short by then. Early spring is needed.Wait and see is still my plan.
Lot of summer left.
That doesn't count in an over stocked world.Things always right themselves
This year ?????
High milk price and head in sand. Let's see the imports flooding in come Jan.So why are we importing stock from Europe (next thread on)
Already restocked as much as we can
