If it going to react anyways it's not going to make bugger all difference.
Trouble is as you know they don't all react.
All i was trying to point out, through my own experience, if you get rid of culls within x days after a test in a tb restricted herd then you the next test does not become a check test meaning you could go clear one test quicker.

I know what you're saying, but as soon as that cow is slaughtered the testing begins again, soon their not in the here the better for the rest if the here.

Are you shut down atm?
If one of culls comes back as lesions then that test becomes a check test and doesn't count as a clear test if no IRs or reactors.

I've sold them to an AFU. He'll fatten them for a couple months before slaughter so they will be his cows.

I also believe that the end of September cull price will be right back up to its previous highs. Lot of cows will he shifted bu mid aug.

I agree which is why i'm shifting mine now and saving the forage. The money was right and they'll be gone in one big go including any skinny ones. Being shut with TB I only get one sale a month and some of them would probably be "stolen" from me.

Still no rain:(. When your used to 5 inches a month and you have none for 10 weeks its a bit much. Always said I would like a dry farm so shouldn't complain I guess. You just know that when it starts it will come so hard the place turns back to a bog.

Heard someone topping thier what should be 5 weeks worth of growth 3rd cut silage as not even enough to make a mower row, just bents and docks. I am cut and carrying my 3rd cut ground and getting 1t/acre of fresh weight grass but its feeding well.
