We all wanted rain .Some have had enough some haven't The dry was good because everything was early anyway .It always rain s in May for 10 days at least here and it usually sets us up for summer .When it gets to June and gets hot its a bit late.

I have a wet farm and I was pleased how my grass seeds were coming up on the fields ioverseeded where the cows poached in March . The cows are now going into the same fields to ruin again :banghead:

i suspect by tomorrow night we may have had enough as well.
was wondering whether to put a couple of bales of haylage out for the ladies tomorrow or would it be counter productive?

Might help to keep the grass in them a bit longer. Plus keep the bf up, but they will eat less grass. Damed if the you don't damed if you do. ;) how's the Ai-Ing going? sore shoulders yet?

all AI here. couldn't bare the thought of something else also being my fault!
AI is going well 7 days in on target so far. flashmates appear to be working well and I in my own slow way are adjusting to them!

As for the rain we have had 50 ml in the last 7-8 days and coreing down we have moisture in the top 20cms of soil. on the best and 15cm on the worst. Our slitting and use of composted dung is really helping us catch what ever falls. especially when its a gentle rain(y)(y)
