Conditions, lack of moisture. I meant you have my sympathy if it didn't come across like that.

It's not all bad news, my beet look good, drilled early into moisture, now have 4true leaves. Admittedly they would benefit from a rain but they aren't suffering like later sown crops or winter cereals.

Feel for you, we suffered massively with the rubbish monsoon spring last year so this year enjoying it while its dry.

No, we havent had any rain. 3mm at best in getting on for 6 weeks. Nothing is ruined yet, but I'd like an inch of rain over say three days. Then will sleep better.

The turbine had surplus water yesterday but is now running about 6 feet below max head. Flat out is 45A. When it drops to 30-35 I will close one valve.
