I hope your friend has a good liason officer with their dairy and they are pro active in helping !!
If his insurance is their and in place for a tanker load failure , and in order and not claimed on in 12 months (I think) then the insurer will cover the tanker milk but not his own IIRC.
Happened to us a few yrs ago and the dairy was most suprised it was us !! Tanker milk was covered by our ins !
And a while back we had a failure at NML level but not dairy level , most odd , but can happen ,as the NML test is a tad more sensitive !
That was in the last 8 months and triggered a MILKSURE review from our vet
That was ok I suppose but its not what you want !
