Having a pain ii the behind problem with 2 drum mower, The saucer bolts keep on coming loose, put thread lock on them, torqued them up tight, had them tight before i started ,as had put new bearings in hub. Mowing today 2 acres later, looked under to check,as thought it would be a good idea, as only just done repairs, Bolts had come loose on 2 ,and 3rd one missing.
Found another bolt and tighten all up again , then mowed acre of grass ,looked under all loose again and one missing, bearings all tight, no noises,
Out of bolts now and going on with another mower i have, but at a loss with reasoning for them coming undone,
Was thinking some ptfe tape with thread lock on bolts i have ordered , not got much confidence in this being much better.
Any body got any ideas /solutions ? cheers DB

Now Then..
What make of mower is it??
Generally a new hub, saucer and 3 screws should cure it..
Take a look in the bottom of the current saucer first. There may be something like a bit of bearing in there. You think the screws are tight. However, yes, they may be tight, but if there's something in between the saucer & the hub, they'll be loose in a flash, eh..

its a sip rota165 , quite worn, had it since new done several 1000 acres, new bearings, shaft to seat bearings are worn, so they do not fit perfectly , but not terrible, have chipped them a bit to make bearings tighter on shafts, sounds healthy that is what is annoying, that to be honest might be the problem, stuff in saucer where hub slides in, i think a good clean out there first, thank you, see what happens then, leave welder for a bit i think

several 1000 acres is not true , it would be more like around 1000 acres total,
