Dry February

My grandfather used to say that a fair February cursed the rest of the months! So maybe good would be nice but not too good.

Have heard that before.

I remember 1993 was a really dry February up here. Less than 4mm for the month.
Some people were sowing spring barley by the end of it which is pretty much unheard of up here.

Summer was a wash out:eek:

Still some lumps of black ice under where the snow lay, makes walking about interesting, ice in some of the troughs still a couple inches thick too where the sun dosnt get round too.

It hasn't rained here for a while, but it never seems to dry on top. Yard freezes then turns to a wet slurry and so on.

Been spraying some manganese on today as crops look a bit deficient and these low light levels and cold isn't helping at all. Sprayer travelled well as not too wet underneath. Top been heaved by frost and a bit loose but much to damp to roll yet.
