Dry spell

From 1pm till 4 today it didn't rain......How did people enjoy the dry spell?
Did you make the most of it and get caught up with a few jobs?

We had nearly 23 hours of dry weather 2 days ago. I got the mankini on and basked in the glorious depths of overcast gloomy dryness. Even the mud started to dry up from slop to glue.

You were stretching things a bit, that must be why we only got 3!
We had 15 minutes sunshine too, made us realise how long it was since we seen the sun.

I was on cleaning sheds out so missed it to a big degree. It’s just a mizzle now but still water

I missed the wet so much I had to jump in the shower when I got home!

First time I've seen the sun for quite a while today, managed to coax another load of ewes and lambs across my swampy field to the drier hill fields. Expected to find something dead after the heavy rain last night but they were all fine.

Currently developing flotation boots for my cattle to facilitate turnout onto decent covers without cutting up the ground.

Sun came out so I put the window down on the pick up for the first time in 8 months. Must of being seized as there was a bang and the window dropped down into the door
If you didn’t laugh you would cry.
I will fish the window pane out tomorrow

2 lovely drying days has dryed the top of grassland but forecast a wet one tomorrow

After the 2 lovely days normal service resumed rain again

Got out this afternoon and longer days are helping. Old man will be itching to get ploughed next
