Probably been discussed plenty of times on here but would like some upto date views. What are the pros and cons of this drill please. Would be going for a 3meter mounted if we bit the bullet. Thanks

What are the main problems? Is it much better than a claydon. I like the individual coulters moving compared to the claydon
I had an earlier close stagger one, later ones or modified earlys will cope with trash better. The front leg design has changed for the better too. Our heavy clay was a struggle if it was wet, even worse if we had spread muck. It wouldn't drill into wheeled ground which with a smaller combine and all straw bales was a big issue.

Claydons are fine but very simple for the money and no contour following. Don't be tempted to bump up the pressure on the DTS to "force it in" because all you do is make it rigid. DTS also has proper press wheels unlike the yellow drag.

I'd probably buy a Mzuri on our land but I'm more confident of getting a crop with our current Trio and Xeos combi.

Best thing about the DTS is that it is made in the Democratic Republic of Yorkshire!!

What pressure did you find running the legs at worked well for you ?
I've had ours at 30 bar and seems ok
Thanks

We have just purchased a second hand 6m dts year14 build.when drilling does exactly what we wanted it to do,
Unfortunately appears to have a problem with to much air building in the seed metering housing, which in turn holds the seed up, meaning it stops drilling, all the time the motor is running, so we have no way of telling unless you actually physically get of and check every run.
Countless calls to dealer, sumo with no real answers, looks as though they will be having it back!!

I assume you have tried lowering fan speed, and made sure there are no obstructions in the distribution head or pipe work causing back pressure

We have tried the air pressure from anywhere 3000 to 4300, no obstructions in pipes or distribution head.
We are using all fss some dressed some not, makes no difference, all cleaned by Cyo..
We have replaced the gauze on the pipe that goes back to tank, with a bigger one, still prone to blocking
Also we have tried the different seed rollers, even if it means travelling at 4K, to prove a point, but still have problems,
At a loss really what to do next?
