Dual wheels and auto steer

Claas tractor with built in GPS system. When drilling or cultivating land with dual wheels fitted, the steering becomes very twitchy and seems slow to respond. Dealer has suggested running a second calibration to use when fitted with duals as the extra weight acting on the front axle and the extra effort needed by the steering valve is what is causing the problem. Anyone with any suggestions based on experience of using the same system? Also sometimes run with a 3 tonne front press but this doesn’t seem to make the situation any worse.

I take it you're running the duals at least 2psi lower than the tractor tyres, and the tread on the duals is a lot more worn than the tractor tyre ?
