Can you calibrate it manually? measure the land wheel circumference, calculate how many revolutions for a hectare (10,000 sq m) , see how many turns the seed shaft does to one revolution then use handle to turn shaft one tenth or one twentieth of the revolutions for a hectare and weight the seeds. Eg for 20kg should be 200 grams if going by one tenths.

Got an old Moore’s
Box drill
Any advice on settings etc no book or owt
So help on calibration
Is it better on a drawbar on arms so can tweak depth better.
Drawbar on arms is an idea but be careful, a little bit will make a lot of difference.
On light land, roll it well before hand - they like a solid surface to drill into.
Might still have a handbook - will have a look on Friday.

I’ve got an old Moore the numbers on the lever for the rate are pretty near to kilos per acre on mine anyway good firm for spares as well I altered drawbar for my bigger tractor 6630 coz It wasn’t sitting level enough getting the depth right is important

As above, handbooks are available on Moores website for all models. I gave up trying to calibrate the long box. Fitted an Accord hopper on instead. More accurate, bigger capacity. Next stop variable rate seeding.
