dysect/click shortage

All clean lambs dosed at correct or slightly over amount. They have all been struck on their backs.
This has always had me thinking, if we dose say a 15kg lamb correctly, by the time a month or 6 weeks has gone by the dosage will be too small for the size of the lamb won't it?

Thoughts?

I had thought that too, but Novartis claim it does. And if it was likely to run out if the lambs grew too much, this should be made clear on the bottle as the whole point of clik is it's durability.

ummm seems strange .. i have seen some products run out early but never had a prob with click seen were lambs had been struck but it cleared up as it should do with a IGR it will not stop them from getting struck but stops the changes in life cycle

I haven't used it for years click as it broke down on me after 7 wks , dip everything now
But thinking aloud now , maybe the active ingredient is loosing its power , flies getting kinda off immune to it ? How long is the product around ?

Interesting to read other people are struggling with Clik- ours only lasted about 8 1/2 weeks and I thought it must be because I was using finishing last year's bottle before buying any new but perhaps not just that.

Do people recommend Dysect as if Clik is only lasting 8-10 weeks it seems pointless to pay the massive premium for it.

Would use click if the price was lower (we do use it on sale rams) but problems with lasting ,is off putting as it's over double the cost of dysect or crovect , and we feel dysect has a repellent factor that may help with bluetounge

+1 for dysect, shame they upped the withdrawal last year, so using crovect / ectofly on lambs, ewes will get the same, then dysect in august should see em through.

Only getting about 9wks if lucky too out of click, never used dysect on sheep only cows might try it next year,
second yr for me click hasn't lasted said amount of time, annoyingly almost all up to weight so treating them will mean holding off selling for a time, up to 6 struck last two days now, again clean lambs too.
Ectofly might be the option, use it to treat maggots only normally, think this is the shortest for with hold? If I can get any that is

Always use dysect here. Seems to do what it says it will. Just done ewes today which by rights should give them cover till October, did ewe lambs last week again with dysect. Like I said it seems to do what it claims it's only downfall that I can find with it is that it is a horrible product to use, have yet to find a pair of leggings that will stop it getting on me! Plus you can do it twice for less than the price of clik.
