Dyson finishing with OSR

First I know nothing about growing crops but I have been listening to farming today
Yields are considerably down but prices should stay about the same as there is more corn
grown in other countries . I understood there is very little profit in growing corn when all costs are taking into account so does it mean considerable losses
James Dyson who farms
37,000 acres is finishing with
OSR but I did not understand the reason why

I think most are either giving up osr, or giving it "one last year". It's just attacked by every beastie alive. And even if you think it's got through the winter, there are more beasties, or larvae of previous beasties, to eat it.

A few questions are left:

1) what else do you grow instead? Winter beans are having an awful year. Oats are limited in market size.

2) how long until we get the blame for there being no plants for bees to feed from? My view is that we should be getting our press releases out now, before the antis stick the boot in.

3) how do you run a larger farm business without a spread of crops to combine? Ad forage crops? Winter linseed?

Will you help clear snow?
