E3120 ERIC on opera

Been trying opera and when I go to ERIC it will not link but the tab says "upgrade your browser". seems it does not like the lack of leader on the address.
Anybody got this to work on Opera?

I use eric on my basic nokia using Opera Mini. It was a bit of a pain to get started and I downloaded various versions. Ended up with an older version (4.2) that works, but only to view the tabs - I can't start/stop from the phone.

Thanks I'll try an older copy. Its just on an old HP mini note pad with a simple linux on, handy but slow. I updated Firefox on it and that was the end!

Any update on the future of eric?

I've heard various rumours on it being switched off/new owners charging customers for continued access.

Would be nice to know if there are costs involved.....

I believe Britwind have purchased Eric and there will be a charge

I understand that it was taken over by a US company that specializes in remote monitoring. Bet there will be a charge but its a lot poorer than other scada systems I have used. It has been cut back too much but the old direct link system can still be used.
There are a couple of alternatives flapping around, not tried them, time will hopefully sort something better out.
