EA Permit - pigs

Anyone had experience with EA permits for pigs?

I was wanting to know the main hurdles to overcome.

I.e can wash out water go to a dry ditch?

Do they want fans installing?

Any other costly implications?

Was thinking 3,000 weaners initially (7-40kg). All in all out. Building. Building to 4000

Nearest non ag property 300 meters. Old farm workers house. Though not ag tied. No other houses for a mile.

I notice most applications are for 2000 thus avoiding the Permit, so presuming there’s something people are avoiding.

Input much appreciated.

Have you any sites of Special Scientific Interest ( SSI) nearby they will certainly be concerned about ammonia emissions if so./
Friends of mine had to go through all sorts of hoops for replacing his chicken sheds because of this, even though the new sheds were a lot further away
