Is this different to the shortest day on the 21 December?
Thought the shortest day was the 21st....
Maybe we are both wrong 😂

21st is shortest daylenght.

Earliest sunset is today.
Latest sunrise is December 28 - so gets darker in monrings yet.

I used to think that both ends of the day got longer from the shortest day but always thought the evenings seemed to get lighter before the mornings did, then a brighter person told me they did

an old saying round here after 21st dec ive oft heard "nights are drawing out" not days are getting longer ,Id not realised before but for a few days sunrise is later though daylength is longer due to sunset getting later . 66 years and still learning mindst whatever folks say I prefer lighter nights

Interesting but you still get 30 minutes more daylight than me and 30 extra dry days last year in Ropsley.

More annoyingly you are sitting at 800mm rain in the past year and we are 1785mm. Apart from April and May ( when we needed some rain) it rained between 21 and 30 days each month here :(
So climate change will just mean Lincolnshire would be like south-west Scotland. What's not to like?
