I have a few acres ex beet that were destined to go into wheat and then back into spuds 2015 with other bits. Anyway not wanting sb I was thinking of setting it with earlies for pcn reasons with short rotation, normally I grow bard, as mostly for chip trade but are there other options? Seed availability will be key tho I suppose. Cant get them to yield more than around 15tpa.

Many thanks for the reply, what sorta yield can the peer do old partner? Only had a few once and I remember them being small, but this was more like a garden effort. Do you not get on with bard.

We average on our peer about 23 t/Ha over the whole season which doesn't sound a lot but we are growing very small potatoes for the salad market. When we start lifting yields can be quite low but the premium is good.
