I've found you can get one or the other with x breed ramsBeltex x Charolais? Logie Durno and Innovis customers seem to think if you use a crosser you get the best bits of both with no down side...
like the look of the roussin, hard to get this side of the pondRoussin, berrichon
and small as hellPlenty on here more experience with them than me, but I can vouch for charmoise for ease but also (important) hard as nails & just bounce up sucking tits.
Easycares, first time lambers,What type of ewes ?
Vendeen rams look okDon’t laugh but I bought 2 vendeen rams 2 yrs ago but ended up selling the ewes near lambing time, he had super lambs out of them and bought them off me for the next season. I know they aren’t fashionable but they weigh like lead and lamb like a char. Guy near Limavady has good rams for sale.
no doubt the texel is as hard as nails for outdoor lambing,The right type of texel. One with a small head and narrow shoulders. Can be hard to find in the usual places like sales and markets though. Ive been using @easyram1 texels and have been very pleased with them

I can get a supply of ewes from local neighbour, so would just like to cross them as I sell all lambs though live market,Tup them pure.

People have mentioned this before about easycares and Hampshire's, I had the ewes in a pen yesterday and they are small and narrow , thin looking , not what I'm used to , I just can't get my head around the fact that they will be fit to lamb the hampshire easily,Used Hampshire on my easycares last year. Very pleased with the lambs. Finished quickly off grass.
