Easycare ewe lambs and copper.

Hi there

Have 60 odd Easycare ewe lambs running on the hill and about to put cows and calves out for the summer. The cows will have tubs out which have 2000mg of copper in them.

Does anyone know if Easycares are susceptible to copper poisoning?

We've had both texel and Suffolk crossed ewes get into one and die, maybe just our bad luck, but I wouldn't want to risk it

Seriously if you were in a TB area you wouldn't dream of leaving cattle tubs out anywhere near the ground where (both sheep or) badgers could get there near them.
Can you get a tripod kind of arrangement that will hold the tubs out of reach of the ewe lambs & also the cattle won't knock them over ?

I cut the cages of some IBCs to about 3 feet tall and put the tubs in them, hoping that will do the trick.
