I've often had bouts of Eczema but at present it is particularily bad on my hands.

Anyone used anything in particular to reduce soreness and stinging and help heal cracks in the skin?

My two youngest have had eczema on their hands since babies, they're now in their twenties and still have flare ups, tried everything but no ultimate cure just managed with moisturiser and strong steroids when really bad, worse in Spring and Autumn for some reason

I'll no doubt get shot down for saying it, but we have several people coming to buy raw milk because it helps their eczema.
I was fed goats milk as a kid as advised by the doctor because i suffered bad with eczema . Cant Moisturise enough if you suffer with eczema plus steriod cream ontop when it flares up. Drink plenty of water and lay off things that flare it up like chocolate .

There may be something that is either triggering your eczema directly or you are doing something to your hands which is altering flora of the skin and making it more likely to become angry.

Emollient creams (ask at the chemist) may help.

Avoiding harsh soaps, harsh detergents, abrasive cleaning products and similar may help.

If it persists longer term you need to see the quack.

Try wearing gloves on the farm for a week when you are working and seeing if that changes things?

Had it all my life on hands.. although I concluded mine is more contact dermatitis. Only way to manage it is to wear some form of gloves for dirt/grease and worst is constant wet. Have gloves in all tractors and for all jobs. When it flairs up though steroid cream is the only fix.
Mrs Spencer does like clean soft hands 😉

Recently started having a spoonful of ground linseed on the breakfast cereals as its supposed to be good for the skin.
I use about 4 applications of udder cream per day. Darn sight cheaper than any fancy hand cream.
Yes, I've heard this. However as with all skin things, folk should do a small patch test before committing to a bucketful.

Can't say I've had eczema, but my knuckles all cracked up a few years back to the point they would bleed at a clench of the hand. Okeefes working hands sorted them nearly instantly and never used it since

Okeefs foot cream used to have a money back guarantee iirc.

I get a severe break out on the backs of my hands every spring it seems. Must not be working enough over winter :ROFLMAO: I put it down to reaction to barley dust as it was almost instant when shovelling some grain several weeks ago. Used the kids moisturising cream. Somewhat coincidentally the brand is called Childs Farm
