Highway robbers, got NFU to change supplier last year been nothing but trouble, told co tract runs out next year but EDF said no it’s out now.Robbing lot only charging 250p per day standing charge.

I wasn't overly happy with E.0n some months back , so I contacted the NFU buying group , who placed me with EDF . What I didn't realise was that the NFU simply placed me with them , and then AFAIK washed their hands of me . In my opinion EDF are an absolute shower , every written bill I get is always over blown for paper , They wanted to install smart meters , OK said I . They did the electric but said the gas wasn't on his list , but in any case the outside box was broken , so he couldn't do that . OK , so I replaced the box with a new one . Since then they've had 3 more goes and failed for varying reasons , one of which was that the two meters were listed to 2 separate adresses- not so . Another the fitter was completely spaced out ! in my opinion he wasn't fit to be on the road . As far as I can see , all they want to do is supply the gas and draw for it , they seem to have no intention of reading the meters or indeed , doing anything to earn their money . They're coming again on Apl 17th - fingers crossed .

Exactly its taken me 10 months to sort billing out ,and I’m still not sure we have 4 meters but one bill is the house and the other bill should have 3 meters on it but it only gives one meter number.NFU rang last week to say I’m still in contract but EDF said no ,so charging me 250p standing charge per bill, and 51p kw.I get at least 2 lots of bills a months 4 pages each.I can’t log in to their online system now charging £10 for late payment because they expect me to Read meters every month before they send the estimate .Terrible company .Yes kw charge has gone up but 250p standing charge is pure greed,I have written to my MP and the CEO of EDF.I don’t mind paying the variable rate for electric but you should not be robbed over standing charge for not been in contract.Just another tip off Britain again.

FFS you must know hiw many meters you have! Each meter must have an Mpan number. did you change all the meters to the now contract?
check your contract you had when you changed, if they were not all changed then you have an issue.]if the job was done properly you must do the folliwing
check all your meters and compare the reading now to the reading when the contract was set up.
compute the actual sum you owe. Units used X price agreed plus daily standing charge X days
i expect if you speak to the NFU they will be able to assist in your problems

I am in this mess because the change was done by them(NFU),I know how many meters I have and no I have one mpan number because that’s the rules ,all meters have to change together.I get 2 bills because the domestic is on one ,and 3 phase plus 2 others on the other. It is their billing system that does not list each meter reading but blocks them together. The readings are all recorded and spot on,the issue is 2 years requested by NFU but EDF have it as cancelled by NFU.Moving to BG ,as we still have their smart meters.Oh and no one answering at NFU

How on earth do you have multiple meters on one mpan? We have 4 supplies, 4 meters & 4 mpans. When i was sorting out a new connection on monday I was told each supply/meter had to have its own mpan 🤷🏻‍♂️

Presumably your a NFU member, get your area rep on the case, you’ve gone through them, usually they’re ringing up few months before the contract ends, obviously a mix up somewhere, they took the commission on brokering the deal, their job to sort of the deal is different to what you agreed to. Find the contract you got at the start of the deal.

Have you tried Bulb? No contract, but prices stay fairly competitive, and can do related/multiple meters.

I can never understand, though, why business leccy costs more than private. 🤔

you are an idiot!
all these companies are equally bad and it is not the fault of NFU in any shape or form , they can just pass you on to the cheapest deal on the day for your profile, a service which they have specialised in for some years .
This service has paid many members more per year than their total subs cost.
I have over the years used them , but in the last few years have used AF which has not got a massive problem with my account.
Another man I know who because of the size of his contract has always done his own is now with a company which has not sent him an invoice of any sense for 18 months. He currently owes a large company over 50K by his reckoning but has only had invoices for a few hundred.

The OP has got a very curious set up which must in fact be meter and submeters as you can only have I meter for 1 Mpan although you can have 2 Mpan for 1 meter

First the nfu is shite at everything.
The single fact slobe that the nfu is behind RT means anyone in the nfu is a fool...

Can you say 100% that the nfu gets you a better deal than you can get yourself by ringing the companies and playing them off against each other?
Its not hard and don't take long.

up till very recently the buying groups of different shape and description regularly saved the average customer very large sums of money. I have never achieved better deals that a buying group could achieve. the buying groups know who to speak to when a regular customer will just get passed to the first call centre operator who is available and they are more used to dealing with Joe Smith wanting power from 7-9 and 5-7 where as farms can have hugely different profiles using power at odd times of day night summer winter.
We had an 8 tariff meter depending Day night Summer winter with Max demand ringing up the power companies with such a tariff was just met with bafflement and comments such as there is no such thing.
Currently the power companies have more or less placed a blanket price on everything depending domestic or industrial
The Stoneleigh site was widely acknowledged in the industry as being the best , perhaps you should lift the scales from your eyes or at least not let your hatred of RT consume you,. Perhaps if more in the industry had supported those of us who were against such schemes within the NFU had come along to meetings it would be in a far better place now

1 new meter with edf
3 i renewed with eon
Not at home to check rate.
But edf were cheapest, but had to pay dd for it.
Told eon was going to move unless matched edf, so they dropped price.
Does pee me off they can find a better price than they quote when you say moving...
