It's not but the jury's still out on effectiveness

I keep asking some Galloway folks; I know there's a couple in Norfolk way trialling NoFence and I think both the Surrey Wildlife Trust (James Stoyles) and Ashdown Foresters are using in places
unless you know latest, they were using collars with buried wire. This is another thing altogether.
(with more tech to fail, and even bigger collars)

Saw this in development nearly 20 years ago. Designed originally for use by the military in areas like Salisbury Plain to stop stock wandering onto the shooting ranges.

A commercial phase was in Auz or NZ, used for ranching. They went as far as operating gate latches, and turning water on and off at field troughs, when used for moving from field to field, all from a laptop in an office.

Warnings started with a bleeper, then mild shocker, then stronger shock etc.

Seems to work well, and ideal to replace the electric fence in my view.
