EGNOS satellite changed

It sounds like it's defaulted to Egnos and you haven't noticed. Which is what happened to our drilling tractor a couple of years ago: couldn't work out why we had wide gaps in the OSR, until we looked at the 'correction source' and twigged it wasn't set to RTX, doh...

IIRC, it was immediately after renewal of a lapsed RTX subscription (defaulted to Egnos), and it turns out that inputing the new RTX unlock codes does NOT automatically set the unit to RTX, it will continue to use Egnos until you manually set it to RTX.
I’ve tried manually setting it :(

Is the frequency unique to your subscription ??

Older software doesn’t allow you to choose which sat number to follow. On newer version it’s under, system, GPS, correction, select egnos, then tick which number you want

A bit more complicated....

On the Display go to Diagnostics > RDI

Then:
1. Press right arrow until you see “Configurations”
2. Press down arrow once
3. Press right arrow until you see “DGPS Config”
4. Press down arrow until you see SBAS Sats
5. Press right arrow twice. You’ll see a cursor flashing.
6. Press down arrow until you see “Disabled”
7. Press left arrow once
8. Press up until you see PRN136
9. Press right arrow once
10. Press up until you see “Heed Health”
11. Press the Enter button
12. Press ESC button to get back to Home screen. On second line of RDI screen you should see 136 and you should have DGPS fix after 5-10 minutes.

If you get lost then press the ESC button multiple times to get back to the first screen and try again.
If you still get lost then contact your dealer.

Did this yesterday and worked a treat. Thanks very much for posting. Did not know this was going to happen and just assumed we had a software issue with our equipment when was not working Saturday. Saw this thread and now works perfectly now.

I also have a fm 750 with no satellite link but I cannot find where the prn136 is. I can find the future 136. Please can you help.

Hi!
Select Future 136 and choose heed health. You can also turn off 120 satelite.
Also, it will work if you just go to Satelite and instead of Automatic, choose Future 136.

I just searched for it and apparently EGNOS satellite config is done via an SBAS configuration file:
F86DE345-84B1-429D-93BD-3607B55F7AE1.jpeg

Depending on the software version running on the receiver, various SBAS config flies are available from:
https://www.virtualwrench.com/leica...ic/mojortk/products/content1298506017196.html

You made need to register to get access to VirtualWrench.

@David. If you are running software version v2.0.1216 or later you can use the following guide and config file (within the zip) to make the changes:

See link to zip file:
Leica mojoMINI - SBAS Configuration v2.0.1216 and above

Update: the contents of the sbas.conf file should now be as follows:

[WAAS]
assign 14 auto
assign 15 auto
sbascontrol enable

[EGNOS]
assign 14 123 0 500
assign 15 136 0 500
sbascontrol enable

[Other]
assign 14 idle
assign 15 idle
sbascontrol disable

I've just tried it and it works. I had SBAS turn on. Whatever that is. Turned that off, rebooted and it all works fine. Anything else I should do. Thanks again.

SBAS stands for Space Based Augmentaion System. The (free) corrections come from a geostationary satellite in other words.

EGNOS is simply the European incarnation or version if you like of SBAS.

The North American SBAS version is called WAAS and there are others around the world. They are all compatible, so the same receiver can be used on different SBAS systems around the world.

Now if you switch off SBAS then you are switching off EGNOS on your receiver. Are you sure it’s “working” as you say?
