I had a 'major' service on my leaf a few months back, it was £209 at the main dealer.
I think they changed the brake fluid, and uummm kicked the tyres?
Keeps the warranty valid anyway...

Is this the filling station of the future?
I can see places like supermarkets and stores with significant car parks having to fit lots of charging points just to keep their customers.
National Grid will have to upgrade, big retail can exert an awful lot of pressure.

Trouble is it doesn't matter what car you drive they all take energy to make in the factory, raw materials, man power, they still pollute as you still need electric to run them, the brake wear, tyre wear and screen wash are contaminating the Robards, if the government want to go green we should all get back to walking....

In the first half of the 20th Century ALCo and Baldwin were the 2 biggest locomotive builders in the US turning out 15 locos a day in the peak of demand. In the second half of the 20thC they disappeared, unable to make the change from steam to diesel fast enough to compete with upstarts like Electro Motive and General Electric.
I believe the same thing is going to happen with the change to electric cars. Household name car firms are going to be history. Who carries a Nokia these days?

All the major players are currently selling various stages of electric, seems like the know how is there and its just a case of fitting it into the current bodyshell.

Remember how cars used to be very expensive (read Tesla) until Ford made them really cheap (read Ford)
