Dealer supplied? Weird they did they not offer up a matching loom connector if it’s been an upgraded part?

They should be able to get you a proper matching connector for it - that will definitely be the simplest route.

As far as I can tell, that’s not one of the ‘usual’ sealed automotive connector suspects, i.e. Deutsch DT, Amp in-line, Metri-Pack, Superseal or Molex.....not a standard one anyway.

It’s got fairly unusual keying, could be one of the Sumitomo HX series but I’m not really sure to be honest.

I can't see the pump in the picture, so does the part in the picture disconnect from the pump? If so, will the one from the old pump not fit?
Assuming its something like the one in the link. You can see it comes with a short loom. although its a deutsch connector, and not like the one in your pic

No it doesn’t disconnect, it’s moulded all together, otherwise like you said could just cut and crimp old connector on.

If it’s a genuine part then your dealer should be able to supply you with an appropriate connector to fit it to your loom. If it’s spurious then ask Malpas to supply you the connector.

Be careful bodging spades to it, it won’t be water and sh!t proof, and there’s always the risk of a short with narrow connectors in close proximity with nothing much separating them. It’s why God gave us connector shells.

Your honestly best getting an appropriate connector for it, unless your absolutely desperate to get going in which case your forgiven for scotch locks, insulation tape and the obligatory twine, net wrap and half used tube of old silicon :X3::cool:

Haven’t thot about returning, That’s last option. Old one was 3 pin jobbie but connector was on wires coming out of pump and not moulded on like new one is
