Electric Farm Gates

Hi,

Does anybody have any recommendations for installing electric gates or companies that do this. The gate is 16ft and at the end of a farm drive.

Cheers

Not recommending an installer but as for hardware,
Maybe others have found different but I have a couple of electric gates here all run on DEA gear, the oldest being 20 yrs old approx, it needed a card replaced but other than that it's worked flawlessly.
Needed a cantilever unit a while ago and I went back for a DEA unit.

If you can’t do sliding then we’ve tried 3 electric arm ones and all failed after 12 months or so down to resistance against the wind when opening and shutting. Simply put they aren’t man enough. I’ve got a farm wheel one for sale if you want to try one. £250 pound notes. It was £1500 new.

Howick Automation put a sliding cantilever in for us at work earlier this year. Spot on job, we did excavation and concreting ourselves.
