i think your right, just been pricing it up,makes sense
If you value your time I really wouldn’t bother. I’ve been towing it with the quad a least 20 years but quad Rappa wasn’t available then. When I change the bike I probably won’t adapt it this and get a Rappa.
I know it’s money laid out but it’ll hardly depreciate and that’s before you start valuing the amount of time you save which will be considerable.
If you really want to spend time in the workshop make something like below. Once round to put wire and stakes up, that really saves time and just basically a bar stuck out the side with the slip clutches

That would certainly be a time saver. However, how do you get the stakes exactly 15 paces apart?

OCD, me?

Can’t see it on the photo but there’s a one litre white spray can on a piece of rope for the right spacing tied behind the bike. When it gets to the last post put the next one in. Saves on stakes.
I put mine in every 14. One of use must be wrong?

I didn’t have enough money for the extra stakes, after i’d Bought the bike RAPPA. ?

Re the can being towed. Should of said drill a hole in the can cap.Put the rope through and tie a knot. Put some water or stones in the can to stop it bouncing around. Put top on and then put a screw through the side of the cap to stop it coming undone. 1 litre bottle stops it catching on stakes. Hope that makes sense.

Or as @sean m says rope with a weight. Why 50 words when 4 will do?

Get some blue rope. Tie a milk bottle to one end. Pace out 15 fpaes and tie other end to the back of the bike. When the milk bottle reaches the previous stake put in a new stake.
