Would something more visible work and help with piggies? I guess it could get heavy if they brushed mud on it though.

Can’t see the benefit of ally over anything else.

Aluminium breaks down in sunlight and goes brittle and you end up with 4 inch lengths on the ground, which the pigs then bury.
Solid galv wire is much better, although a pain to tighten. I have some that has been up 15 years and has no signs of wear.
I tie strips cut from white bags on the wire just as a reminder of where the fence is, and this seems to work well (and is cheap!). Also reminds me where not to go with the brushcutter!
