Electric swing gate or roller sliding gate

Which is the best way to put automatic gates on entrance to farm. Was thinking of gates that look like this

Am thinking a roller gate would be stronger.

Plus anyone using batteries to power the gates as i see you can get them in 24 volt systems, was thinking of having a solar panel charging them like you have for battery fencers. Cause my entrance is 300m from the nearest power source

Roller gates are generally more solid as they can locate into fixed stops.
Solar powered is ok but the guy we use normally puts a small wind turbine on as well, but depends on use.
Ours is on mains and has a small alarm type gel battery in, you can normally get three or four openings out of it in a power cut, the remote ones normally have two deep cycle caravan batteries on especially if they are due to get a lot of use.
