Anyone got one? What makes are available? See yamaha are bringing one out.

Thought they might be good for checking stock during the summer. Nice and quiet.

Not really talking about an electric bicycle.

Was talking to a chap last night who has one of these for getting cows in and checking stock,says it’s brilliant and will do about 45-50 miles on a charge,around £1.60 to fully charge he said

Zero motorcycles are providing the running gear for the new electric polaris ranger out this year. It looks brilliant if it goes as well as they say…..but would you want to be the first to buy?

I have ridden an electric motion trials bike at inch perfect trials
I was a skeptic at first, until I rode it for about 20 yards and completely changed my mind, they are so smooth and easy to ride, a battery would do about 2.5 tanks of fuel in a normal 250 trials bike so it will do a good 7-8 hours work I would think, no kick starting, doesn’t matter if you drop it or lay it on its side, quiet, less servicing just power wash off and oil the chain. You can use the clutch or just twist and go, it has a regenerative engine brake too.
If we could afford it we would of bought one that day, they are the future, I did however miss the noise but for work and round the sheep the silence will be ideal

@Grassman will sell you one.
We only child size ones.
The electric trials bikes have improved dramatically in recent years. I did ride one in a trial a few years ago but wasn't keen but new ones are far better.
In fact two are entered in the Scottish six days trial in May.
This will be a very interesting test.
As a farm bike I'm sure they would be excellent. As @ARW says the battery would be more than adequate for farm use.
