We have small holding (approx 2.5 acres) and have 11KV HV wires going overhead to a pole in our field. After investigating it with Scottish power it turns out no wayleave was ever set up as on their maps it shows it in a neighbours field. They have been out to check and updated their plan to show it now in our field.
They have offered us either a wayleave or easement however offered a very small sum of £9.47 or a lump sum of £189.40.
This seems from what i understand to be vastly less than what is normal and at that cost i would rather them be removed or put in the ground.
Any thoughts on how to proceed or if they are trying to pull one over on me.
In Pulford just south of Chester if that makes any difference.
