Electricity costs increasing

Hi,

The cost of electricity has continually increased this year and this will be reflected in your electricity price when it come time to renew your energy contracts.

Should you need any advice on suppliers, tariffs, or just general advice, please feel free to comment as I'm always happy to help.

Thanks

Harry

Hi Cattow,

Who is your current supplier and when is your contract up for renewal? Unit rates vary from supplier to supplier.

With the introduction of TCR standing charges are increasing aswell. Feel free to give me a call for a more in depth discussion?

Currently with EDF, but best prices so for are with Scottish Power & Eon
Renewal 1/1/22
There are some really competitive renewable energy suppliers offering good rates currently. EON usually are competitive however their standing charge is around 31p/day which means TCR could be clawed back at a later date. Happy to have a chat with you and provide offers?

Want a "no standing charge" tariff. Currently have smets 1 meter so some folks can't deal with that. What have you got??
Hi HJcarter,

Is having a smart meter critical for you? Smet2 should be rolled out now and some suppliers are better than others at doing so. What kind of consumption do you have? Suppliers might not offer No SC on sue to TCR being introduced. Happy to chat further if you would like to give me a call 01392949949

Evening Harry, can you advise on whether our tariff is any good or if we could get better please, we pay £1.10 per kVa for 71kVa supply just for the privilege of having it, then 13.26p per kWh day rate and 9.6p per kWh night time rate. Thanks

Hi Woody,

It's seems very competive in the current market, what's your SC. You have a HH meter so you can expect sharp increases when you come to renew. Have you considered looking to downgrade your meter? What supplier are you with?

Happy to chat about this, if you would like to call me?

Age old problem. However much we try to economise on energy consumption, the suppliers are always one step ahead increasing prices to compensate....
It's unfortunate, the best way is to look to mitigate as much as possible, have you looked at solar options? I would always recommend longer term fixed contracts as cost just keep rising.

Hi Cattow,

Just want to follow up and make sure you have agreed a new deal. Prices are continuing to increase i'm afraid and we have seen increases on offer upwards of 6%. As discussed, happy to take a look and see if I can help.

Agreed with NFU energy Scottish Power.
Did the recorded contract agreement

NFU just phoned me this morning to say this supplier doesn’t accept recorded contracts and the price has jumped
Hi Cattow,

Sorry this has happened. To avoid this happening we always present a PDF. Would love the oppurtuntiy to provide a competing quote if you are open to it?

Please feel free to give me a call if it easier?

I have just renewed my contract here, every time I spoke with the broker the price had risen! My best deal was 20% more than I was previously on.
It is a difficult market to secure rate. The best thing is to to agree a rate and get it signed off same day to avoid any delays.

Some suppliers are changing their prices up to 3 times in 24 hours so you have a small window to agree that rate. The energy market is currently in a terrible state and prices are hitting new highs
