Electricity Pylon Concerns.

You did well!!. I found them to promise all sorts at the start, but very little actually delivered
would suggest that every time you talk to them record it at least.
and write out what is agreed that day and get it sighned.
Same when work is being done, daily diary, sighned by foreman after every week or chargeable occurance.

The companies run two teams of negotiators, A really helpful, friendly and approachably at the start,
then a different set of crooks at the time to payup, who will deny everything previously agreed
Employ an agent to act on your behalf, and make them paying the agents fee a precondition to starting any talks.

Employ an agent to act on your behalf, and make them paying the agents fee a precondition to starting any talks.

THE AGENT will be there on the first day to sign you up, and on the last day to establish the claim.
What goes into that claim for daily costs and damages will depend on your personal record of events.
A notebook filled with entries, regularly countersighned will be worth its weight in gold.
Vague memories of cattle escaping or a tree or fence being damaged at some point during the work will be worth jack......

A great article in the Irish times 11th February 2014 proving beyond reasonable doubt that Pylons have huge health risks. Its time we took notice and stop the power companies driving the 'theres no problem' reports like tobacco companies did for decades. Pylons emit low frequency EMF, it is dangerous or why would the EU issue a new law in July 2013 which has to be written into state law by 2016 if there were no concerns. This has been discussed for decades, proven health risks. Pylons are just one source, everywhere there is electricity in the home, office, school and workplace there is radiation from this Low frequency EMF.
Power companies are getting a kicking around the world, like the huge legal loss in South Africa where it started with a planning issue and ended up a health issue.
Radiation is all about cell damage and disruption, animals suffer too!

Farm with a double bank of them here, and have done so before in the north east.

Tractor guidance doesn't like them, sheep didn't go under them to graze up north, bloody awkward things in fields etc etc etc.

However, we want power, so someone has to have them.

Far uglier than turbines I think- but the local pressure groups have not mentioned them in their description of our unspoiled landscape vista!

The National grids highest adviser recommended that the UK government compulsory purchase all properties close to pylons. At a cost of 7 billion it was declined in 2006.
Low frequency EMF radiation is like the tobacco industry of the 70's, it was tobacco company funded reports then as it is power company funds now, keeping this health risk from us.
As Larry King said recently "it is still not known how smoking gives you cancer, it is just statistics that tells us it does" Low frequency EMF statistics due in another 10-20 years!
All electricity, appliances and wires in your home and office is low frequency EMF. Readings with everyday products like your Hoover is the same radiation level as a pylon of 30m away.

What a load of rubbish. It is known how carcinogens in tobacco cause cancer, I don't think Larry King is a qualified expert.
I notice that electricity is not scary enough to keep you off your computer, or is it one of those new steam powered ones.

Ah carcinogen in tabacco causes cancer, thank you for putting Larry King right.
I think it also says if you look up carcinogen that radiation causes cancer.
In fact when damaged cells cannot undergo programmed cell death as fast as they divide, it can cause cancer. This disruption can also be caused by EMR. Electromagnetic radiation which comes from Pylons and electricity all around us.
And for your information, it is impossible to eliminate your exposure to this radiation in modern living but you can make choices and take simple steps to reduce your risk.
I choose not to work on wireless where possible until the steam version is invented.

you should wrap tin foil around yer nuts and napper best to be safe than sorry, but i fear my sound advice may be a bit late for you.

Tin foil being conductive reflects EMF and then your body absorbs so your solution is not a good one. Maybe you should go to a different class?
